Vacations

I am so sorry for not having time to blog so much. Have been so under the gun that the little bit of time I do get I spend it by sleeping. My exams just got over yesterday and I feel so relaxed already. I  am looking forward to this one month of vacations. Tomorrow I shall be attending this exhibition called "Urban Junkie" which aims at providing 'inexpensive yet trendy clothing'. I have my eye on these spongebob , yogi bear and angry birds pjs I saw in their lookbook . I hope I'm able to snag them before they're over. Shall post more pictures soon!

Goodies

So sorry for the delay... I was busy with my exams. Here's what I was upto; I went shopping , as I haven't done that in quite a while. I bought a couple of t-shirts , belts, three pairs of shoes and an extremely cute elephant necklace. I've been obsessed with stripes lately so you'll be seeing them a lot in my upcoming posts. Hope you like . Feel free to comment!! :)

High-waisted pants and boyfriend blazer

So, the trend I've been recently following is the high-waisted pants and the versatile boyfriend blazer. The pants immediately lend a more refined look to an outfit , when paired with a casual tshirt or the classic white shirt.
As for the blazer , it looks so so good when worn over a dress. Here are a few pics with the above mentioned items. :)

Bungy Jumping

So, I wanted to Bungy jump while i was in Macau. I had done some research before leaving and found that Macau tower has the HIGHEST bungy in the world. I was thrilled at the prospect of getting the chance to jump off it. My dad wasn't to keen on it though. But I managed to convince him. Once they put the harness on you and strap you up, give u a little pep talk , you walk over to the edge. At that point it is pretty impossible for you to not feel dread. I couldn't help but look down . The distance to the air mattress waiting at the bottom of the tower was at that moment too much to fathom. They started the countdown, 5- I spread my arms, 4- I smiled at the camera, 3-I gave a little thumbs up, 2- I bent over and 1- I JUMPED. It was scary , exciting , thrilling etc all at the same time. For the first 2-4 seconds , I felt like I was falling, nothing was holding me , I was screaming my guts out and then I felt the harness give me a little jerk, and I bounced back up. The whole experience was caught on camera . It still gives me goosebumps.
P.S Macau Tower is 764ft above ground level and is the 10th highest building in the World. Enjoy the pictures. :) Feel free to comment.

Earthquake

For the 1st time ever, I experienced an earthquake. Yesterday , at around 6:12 pm , I was studying in tuition when my teacher suddenly said ," I don't know why , but I feel as though my house is always shaking." I thought she was being paranoid or something like that. But then we just stopped (my friends were with me in tuition). Everyone around us just stopped. And felt. We all felt it. but it wasn't too strong so we dismissed it . Then within seconds news started flooding in. Those people in tuition who had blackberry phones started getting updates about an earthquake measuring 6.9 on the Richter scale originating from Sikkim (near the Himalyas). It lasted for about 10-12 seconds.

When I came home, I saw the residents of my building gathered downstairs in groups, all too frightened to go up. This is the first time ever anyone of us in Kolkata has ever experienced something like this. I know it wasn't a big one, but nevertheless I did become excited , just for a bit.

MADAME TUSSAUDS

While in Hongkong, I also visited Madame Tussauds. Although most of the exhibits were good, I didn't like the Indian exhibit much. There was hardly any resemblance.

I wore a dress from Mango that day, the upper half of which was beige and the lower half was a bright red. I asolutely adored the pop of color. Hope you like!! :)

DISNEYLAND

WARNING, LOADS OF PICTURES.

I stay , as you know, in India and there is a dearth of amusements parks here. There's no Disneyland, no Six Flags , no Universal Studios etc. All we have here in Kolkata is Nicco Park. After hearing so much about Disneyland and it being "the happiest place on Earth " I knew I had to visit it. So while in Hongkong , I ensured I went to Disneyland

It was such a magical experience. Upon entering the Park, I immediately forgot everything. Here in Nicco park , I'd never sit on the carousel but in Disneyland I tried everything, from sitting on the carousel to other silly rides and I didn't feel silly one bit for doing so....
Having said that, here are a few pics. I wore the same nautical inspired shorts from Promod and a floral top from Vero Moda, some thong sandals, a white summery hat and aviators. Hope you like. :)

Nautical and Coral

This is my first outfit post. I wore this on my first day in Macau. After nearly 12 hours of travelling,I was exhausted. I wanted to wear something nice and breezy , yet chic. Coral is one of my favourite colors this year and these shorts are high-waisted and give that retro vibe which really appealed to me. Hope you like!! :)

About me

So ,I love travelling, fashion, sports and through this blog I hope to share all that with you. Having said that, welcome! So my 1st post will be about my trip to Switzerland, in May ,last year. I'll be putting up pictures because I don't think words can do justice to it's beauty. It's literally , the most beautiful place I've visited and I've visited quite a few, Kenya in Africa, Nepal, Kerala, Darjeeling -Queen of the Mountains, Hongkong and Macau, Singapore, Thailand, Malaysia, Dubai , to name a few..
